Liven Flipper Function released. Now never get stranded on a dead flipper. A wire from the Lane Brain is attached to the flipper. The system detects which way the car is going and energise the flipper to a negative or positive charge equivalent to the tracks voltage! Ever had to pull up suddenly due to a huge accident in front of you, only to find when racing resumes your left stranded on a dead flipper? Now the Scorpius live flipper function prevents this.

Anti Collision released. Sick of your racing buddies taking you out on lane changers? Now just install 2 additional LEDs in the track, and drive with safety. Great for competitions to prevent collisions. This function cannot be used with PEARL.

PEARL released. PEARL stands for Programmable Electronically Activated Race Line. Simply activate PEARL mode “learn” on your controller and do one lap choosing your preferred race line as you go. Now turn PEARL mode to “on”. Every time you go through a lane changer it automatically switches to your chosen race line. Every driver to have their own unique race line and every driver can choose to activate or not activate PEARL.

Ghost cars. Now race against a ghost car when none of your race buddies are availalable. Just plug in a dongle, select the program and go.
Note: A separate dongle is required if using the Scorpius RMS simultaneously.

The new Scorpius Race Management System simply called Scorpius RMS is due out September 2011. Cost will be $99. The Club Scorpius discount will not be applicable to software.
The system boasts some nice features:
Auto name and ID entry. Simply drive around the track during practice and all drivers names and car IDs are automatically entered into the race list, press race, press start race, off you go! Save time and stress on race night. Have more time to race and enjoy!
Penalties:
Penalties can be given as drive through, stop’n’go or timed penalties as in real life 1:1 racing!
Black flag functions:
False start detection, based on actual throttle detection. Most false start detection systems on the market rely on the car crossing the start line to detect a false start. Now Scorpius mimics 1:1 racing with real false start detection. False start and a black flag is given.
Pit speed detection:
Set your cars pit speed on the controller. On entering pits press the menu button on the controller to activate speed limiting. Forget or drive above the allowable speed and you get black flagged!
Quick Race:
Just 2 clicks of the mouse gets you racing, save time and hassle. You just want to race, correct?
Real Fuel:
At last fuel consumption based on actual energy use, in this case power. Go heavy on the controller and you use more fuel, go easy and use less fuel. Car data is analysed ten times per second to give accurate virtual fuel useage.

Real speed ghost cars:
Record an actual lap and replay that lap over and over again as a fierce competitor instead of just a single speed ghost car.
Saftety cars:
Massive accident? Press LC and Brake button simultaneously on your controller to activate a real saftety car. The car will pull out from the pits and circle the track at a given speed until the pile up is cleared. Now press the LC and Brake buttons again simultaneously and the car returns to pits and switches off!
Smart Ghost Cari:
A ghost car that can think for itself! The ghost car analyses traffic ahead and chooses which lane to go in. Now thats smart!
Automatic Track Call:
The system automatically detects a car off and brings all cars to a pre-determined lower speed. Once the car is reslotted the sysyem automatically detects this too and full racing resumes!
